Weekend in Shanghai at The Silo

While the famed Zeitz MOCAA (Museum of Contemporary Art Africa), situated at the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront in Cape Town, is closed on Tuesdays its siamese twin, The Silo Hotel, is always open and ready to treat visitors. Have tea, bubbles or a G&T… Why?  Because you only live once and the view of Table Mountain and the Waterfront from The Silo’s Willaston Bar is to die for! This perfectly situated recreational space is named after the first ship to export grain from the original silo complex in Table Bay harbour way back when in 1924.  This is the place to lounge.

The hotel is positioned above the Zeitz MOCAA and built in the grain elevator part of the silo structure.  With the museums closure on Tuesdays I am forced to keep my curiosity in check and schedule another trip to Cape Town to visit the Zeitz.

PS: Weekend in Shanghai is reference to the refreshing TWG green tea I had at The Silo.
